Are you interested in the ways we can keep antibiotics working for future generations?
Do you take long-term antibiotics or have multiple or recurrent infections? Do you have experience of sepsis or taking antibiotics in hospital? Are you a parent or carer who looks after someone who has experienced any of the above?
Vocal (a health and research organisation hosted by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with The University of Manchester) is putting together a new network of people from a range of backgrounds to share their experiences with researchers to explore, challenge and improve the way we give antibiotics – see more information on their website.
There are lots of ways that kidney patients and carers can take part in this network, including joining discussion groups, phone calls, and online surveys. You don’t need to have any experience of research, just be happy to talk about your opinions. Please note during this period of COVID-19 all activities are currently taking place online. Vocal are committed to making our opportunities as inclusive and accessible as possible. Meetings and activities usually last for 1-2 hours, and participants will be paid for their time (£25 per hour).
If you live in Greater Manchester and are interested in joining the network or have any further questions then please email Emily at email@example.com by Monday June 14th. (Emily will be away 7-11th June but will respond after that). Alternatively, you can register directly on Vocal’s website.
