{"id":3509,"date":"2023-11-20T16:35:02","date_gmt":"2023-11-20T16:35:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kpin.org.uk\/?p=3509"},"modified":"2023-11-20T16:35:02","modified_gmt":"2023-11-20T16:35:02","slug":"calciphylaxis-patient-experience-study","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kpin.org.uk\/calciphylaxis-patient-experience-study\/","title":{"rendered":"Calciphylaxis patient experience study"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Prof Smeeta Sinha and Dr Sharon Huish\u00a0are looking to identify patients with (or who have had)\u00a0calciphylaxis\u00a0for a new\u00a0study\u00a0evaluating patient experiences.<\/p>\n<p>They would like to hear from people who are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>18 years of age or older<\/li>\n<li>Have a current\u00a0or previous (within the past 3 years) diagnosis of calciphylaxis \u2013 or carer\/relative.<\/li>\n<li>Are willing, and able, to participate in an interview (in-person, over the phone, or via video call)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>What\u2019s involved?<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nWe\u00a0will\u00a0be\u00a0conducting\u00a0interviews with people with calciphylaxis\u00a0(or their relatives\/carers)\u00a0to better understand the lived experience of this condition. Specifically, the research study will investigate how people felt about their diagnosis, experience of treatments, and interaction with healthcare teams.
